1. Adrian Peterson - Minnesota
Peterson is one of the most explosive backs in the NFL and can score from anywhere on the field. He did have an off season scoring but look for those numbers to improve in 2011. In previous years a big concern about AP was his tendency to fumble but that disappeared last year with only one fumble lost all season. Minnesota's new coach is dedicated to the run and you can expect Peterson to have at least 25 carries a game next season. The only concern here is that Peterson can be injury prone especially as the season drags on.
2. Chris Johnson - Tennessee
Chris Johnson is another guy that can rack up fantasy points from all over the field. He is a dangerous runner who is the focal point of his team's offense. He is also a threat out of the backfield with the ability to catch balls in the flat and break them open for huge gains. If you are in a PPR league you may consider taking Johnson over Peterson because he will generate you a lot of points from the amount of looks he gets in swing routes.
3. Jamaal Charles - Kansas City
Jamaal Charles came close to the rushing title last season and that's saying a lot because he was essentially splitting time with Thomas Jones. With Jones starting to get up there in age, look for this to shift a lot more into Charles's favor this season. What hurt his stats last season was the lack of touchdowns (8) but that number should increase significantly next season especially with the increase in touches.
4. Arian Foster - Huston
After his 231 yard 3 touchdown performance against the Colts week on last year everyone that drafted him thought they were fantasy geniuses, but after a while Foster rocketed back to earth. While a very solid back who can put up huge fantasy numbers he can have some problems with consistency which is a fantasy team killer. His 15 yard performance in week 15 killed fantasy playoff teams everywhere. We aren't saying stay away from Foster just be warned that he is occasionally going to drive you crazy with an abysmal fantasy performance.
5. Michael Turner - Atlanta
The Falcons run a very balanced offense and Turner is the key to their ability to do that. Though there are a few quality backs behind him he gets the majority of the touches and rarely dips below 20 a game. The Falcons don't run to many routes for him out the backfield so he doesn't have much PPR value but he is consistent and that's a big plus in the fantasy world. Look for a slight improvement in Turners yards this season but he is probably going to stay around a respectable 12 touchdowns.
Sleepers
LaGarrette Blount - Tampa Bay
When Blount got carries last year he made the most of them by putting up some decent numbers. He saw limited action at the end of last season and should be off many fantasy owners radar, especially if your league is drafting early. Blount can be volatile so make sure you check up on him before you draft him to make sure he is on the straight and narrow with his team.
Beanie Wells - Arizona
Though Wells didn't have much production last year that was more due to the Cardinals ridiculous commitment to the pass than touches. He is a bigger, stronger and faster back then Hightower so it would be hard to see him not getting the start. This year Arizona should come out with a more balanced attack and Wells should be the focal point of the running game. Drafting him is a risk but one that could pay off especially if you are able to pick him up in the later rounds.

Top 5 Fantasy Tight Ends for 2011
Picking fantasy tight ends is tough so we went ahead and made it easy for you. We've poured over all the numbers and have laid out 5 tight ends that can help your team get that extra boost you need from an overlooked position. As always be sure to check out our sleepers who should be available in the later rounds of most fantasy drafts.
1. Antonio Gates - San Diego
Gates has been the gold standard for fantasy tight ends for a number of years. He puts up receiver numbers at a position that most fantasy owners don't expect much production at. Some say last year's injury issues were the signal of a start of decline for Gates but even a decline in his numbers still put him on the top of the fantasy tight end list.
2. Dallas Clark - Indianapolis
Dallas Clark spent the majority of last season on the IR and the Colts suffered for it. Manning couldn't seem to find a reliable go to receiver like he had in Clark. Expect him to bounce back from the injury and for Manning to make him a go to guy very early in the season.
3. Jason Witten - Dallas
Witten should return to previous form with the return of Romo to the Cowboys this summer. Witten was a favorite target of Romo's and last year's drop in stats showed. His numbers may not return to the levels of previous seasons but should be high enough for you to give me a good look in your draft
4. Vernon Davis - San Francisco
Davis has slowly been climbing his way into the ranks of top fantasy tight ends. Even with terrible quarterbacks throwing to him each season his numbers have steadily improved. Look for these numbers to increase again this season as he has being used more and more within the 49er's offensive scheme.
5. Jermichael Finley - Green Bay
Finley was a highly touted fantasy tight end last year but ended up missing most the season due to injury. This year should be no different; Finley is a big part of the Packers offense and expect him and Rodgers to get on the same page early this season.
Sleepers Brandon Pettigrew - Detroit
Pettigrew showed flashes of brilliance last season making key plays all over the field for Detroit. The problem is he was splitting time with another tight end; Tony Scheffler. If he can establish himself as the dominate tight end for the Lions and he gets some consistent quarterback play Pettigrew may give you a decent fantasy option for cheap.
Jimmy Graham - New Orleans
Graham is another developing tight end that started to find his niche in the New Orleans offense late into the season. If he develops into a reliable dump off for Brees he could start to see a lot of balls coming his way. You do still run into the problem of having to start a receiver on the Saints, a team that is notorious in the fantasy world for spreading the ball around

Top Fantasy Wide Receivers for 2011
With so many good receivers in the NFL this year its hard to decide who is going to get you the most bang for your buck this fantasy season. We've broken down the top 5 fantasy receivers to help you with your draft boards and for those of you who are looking for that extra fantasy edge, be sure to check out our sleepers.
1. Roddy White - Atlanta What is there to say about Roddy White that hasn't already been said? He plays on a team whose only other solid receiving option is Tony Gonzalez and still puts up massive fantasy numbers. If the addition of Julio Jones forces teams to worry about another solid receiving option, look for White's numbers to improve once more this season. If Jones turns out to be a bust you still don't have to worry, White will continue to shine for your fantasy team.
2. Andre Johnson - Houston Johnson's numbers saw a slight drop last season, however it wasn't so much his play as the inconsistency at the quarterback position. If the Texans play up to their potential, Johnson could end up being the number one fantasy receiver in the NFL. Even if they don't, he is still a solid fantasy option that will score you points week-in and week out.
3. Greg Jennings - Green Bay The reason Jennings isn't higher on this list is because he plays on a team that has so many great options and can occasionally be used as a decoy. That being said, he is still the favorite target of Aaron Rodgers which is one of the top quarterbacks in the game. Jennings has the ability to make plays all over the field and the Packers consistently target him in the end zone. Also this season, look for a diminished role from Donald Driver, which could lead to even more targets for Jennings.
4. Calvin Johnson - Lions Even on sub-par Lions teams, Calvin Johnson put up great fantasy numbers. With the Lions improving this season on both sides of the ball, those numbers could see a significant boost. He has developed a good relationship with both Stafford and Shaun Hill, so there is no need to worry about injuries. With the improvements to the run and pass protection, Johnson may be able to run wild in some teams backfield. Johnson does play in one of the toughest divisions in football though, so take that into consideration when you are drafting.
5. Mike Wallace - Pittsburgh Mike Wallace is one of those receivers that you just love to watch. He has the ability to stretch opposing defenses and make circus catches down the field. He has improved steadily during his first two season in the NFL and this one should be no different. The problem is that he plays for a run first team that rarely passes when they have the lead. On top of that, he plays on a very good team that usually has the lead. If you think the Steelers are going to be in a lot of close games this year then go ahead and grab Wallace. If not, let him be someone else's concern to start every week.
Sleepers
Dez Bryant - Dallas
The Cowboys in general killed the hopes and dreams of so many fantasy owners last year, rarely does such a talented team under achieve to that level. That being said, after Phillips was fired, Jason Garrett was able to get Dallas fired up and playing at a respectable level. During that period, Bryant developed a nice rapport with Kinta putting up some very respectable numbers for a rookie. Bryant was playing through multiple injuries last season, the biggest being the broken ankle that eventually sidelined him for good. Rumor has it Bryant has worked hard this offseason, getting stronger and completely healing up. If Dallas is going to improve this season, Bryant is going to be a big part of it. That makes him worth a good look as a three or even two receiver, depending on how deep your league is.
Larry Fitzgerald - Arizona
It's hard to call Fitzgerald a sleeper, but with the atrocious play he got from his quarterbacks last year he became a non-factor in the fantasy world. The Cards realize this and are desperate for a QB, but have been unable to make any moves this offseason because of the lockout. If the lock out lifts look for Arizona to heavily pursue Kevin Kolb from the Eagles. He has expressed desire to leave and Philly has said they will trade him. If this happens, Fitzgerald could return to his old form as soon as the season begins, if not he could be in for another rough season.
1. Roddy White - Atlanta What is there to say about Roddy White that hasn't already been said? Top Fantasy Quarterbacks for 2011
Deciding on who to pick as your fantasy quarterback is usually tough and this year is no different. To help you get an edge this season we've put together a list of our top 5 and included a couple of sleepers for those of you that like to take risks.
1. Aaron Rodgers - Packers
Rodgers is an easy pick here, he nearly threw for 4,000 yards again this season and has two key offensive players returning. With Jermichael Finley and Ryan Grant back in the lineup, so you can expect to see an improvement in Rodgers numbers this season. Also don't forget that he can help you on the ground, scoring 4 rushing touchdowns last season.
2. Matt Ryan - Falcons
Ryan has an array of weapons around him and the Falcons added even more in the off-season. With the addition on Julio Jones to the line up, Matt Ryan should have 3 sure targets to throw to. With Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez, and Jones as options down field you can expect to see even bigger numbers out of Ryan who has been steadily improving each of his NFL seasons.
3. Michael Vick - Eagles
Vick could have easily been number one on this list due to his ability to make plays on the ground and in the air but we have him at three for a couple of reasons. First, the Eagles offensive line is terrible and with Vick's tendency to run he is at a greater risk of injury then all of the quarterbacks on this list. Second at the end of last season it seemed like he was reverting back to the Vick of old by abandoning the pass at the first sign of trouble and trying to get downfield. Even with these concerns it's hard to pass him up due to his abilities.
4. Tom Brady - Patriots
Some people think Brady is going to start falling off this season but we don't see it that way. He is one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the NFL and is surrounded by solid players who believe in the system. Until Brady proves to us that he doesn't have it anymore, he will be one of our top 5 fantasy signal callers.
5. Philip Rivers - Chargers
Even with the constant injury problems the Chargers had last year, Rivers was still able to put up great numbers. Now with the return of Vincent Jackson and a healthy Gates, look for Rivers to have an even better season. Having Jackson on the field will only make the other receivers better as teams are forced to put their best corners on him. This alone should help Rivers have another solid fantasy season.
Sleeper picks
Sam Bradford - Rams
Bradford had a great rookie year in St. Louis and the Rams did a great job of drafting help for him this season. Will Bradford improve on last season or be a victim of the sophomore slump?
Matt Stafford - Lions
Stafford was hurt for most of last season but when he did play we saw some flashes of brilliance. The Lions were another team that drafted really well and should be a much improved team next year. If Stafford stays healthy he could put up big fantasy numbers all season.
UFC 132 Statistical Breakdown
UFC 132 is full of potentially fight of the night match ups that has every reason to deliver. With fighters such as Dominick Cruz, Chris Leben, and Matt Wiman there could be some huge stats recorded. We all know that the result of a fight is the most important aspect for a fighter, but let's step away from the idea of wins and losses for a second and simply breakdown the statistics that each fight can deliver. Over time, wins and losses are usually the only thing remembered or cared about, but it's actually the stats in which fighters are critiqued upon during and shortly afterwards. Lack luster wins are not what you pay your monthly pay per view dues for, not to mention what team owners are looking for out of their picks on MMAXtremeFantasy.com. So let's take a look at what you can come to expect from the each fight statistically and not just the results.
George Sotiropulos vs. Rafael Dos Anjos
Both fighters have an amazing ground game; however both will have less than a 50% takedown success rate. This might be an equation for a sub par stand up war, which could be exciting for the simple fact that more strikes will be thrown throughout the fight. From a fans perspective though, I would rather wait for a couple true stand up fighters to bang and hope that one of these fighters will get an edge in the takedowns department. This way we could all witness the art of jujitsu at one of its highest levels.
Melvin Guillard vs. Shane Roller
Based on previous stats and the fighters tendencies, this could be one of the easier fights to predict. Both Fighters will start by exchanging some wild power punches. After the exchange, Melvin will get the takedown followed by some vicious ground and pound while staying planted in Shane's guard. However, once Shane neutralizes the ground and pound onslaught, he will fire back with some submission attempts of his own. It's hard to argue that this fight is going to go any other way because of Melvin's 76% takedown success rate and Shane's 36% takedown defense rate. This followed up by Melvin's lackluster 3 passes in a 13 fight span and Shane's 7 submission victories in his last 9 fights.
Dennis Siver vs. Matt Wiman
This is one of the three fights that are in early contention of fight of the night honors. Dennis has a strong stand up game which he uses a lot because of his ability to keep the fight standing. He has 1266 total attempted strikes in 11 fights, while he concentrates more on his wrestling defense than offense. Matt is extremely well-rounded and could be willing to trade with him, but he would have a larger advantage on the ground. The question is can he get it there.
Carlos Condit vs. Kong Hyun Kim
This fight should shift the action back to the ground while Kong will likely be the initiator better of the two in the takedown department. He has a massive 43 takedown attempts in only 6 fights. Condit won't panic though and will be comfortable off his back by now since he already has 31 passes in his last 10 fights. After the dust settles on the ground, there should be more striking than submission attempts due to the fact that 56% of Kong's successful strikes land when he is grounded while Carlos isn't far behind with 35% of his successful strikes landing while he is grounded as well.
Tito Ortiz vs. Ryan Bader
Tito is sadly part of the old guard in which have continually been getting picked apart and sent packing to retirement one by one lately by fighters like Ryan Bader. This one should be no different since Ryan is basically just a younger, more talented Tito, in which doesn't pose well for any statistical categories for the Huntington Beach Bad boy. Ryan will use Tito's old moves of some nasty takedowns with some fierce ground and pound. There are just too many personal and medical issues surrounding Tito to be productive in any statistical category.
Wanderlei Silva vs. Chris Leben
This is the second fight that should be in contention for fight of the night. It is safe to say that most of this fight will be fought standing. There will be a ridiculous amount of leather thrown due to the fact that Wanderlei has averaged well over 100 strikes per fight in his last 5 and Chris has 8 knockouts in his last 17 fights. He might of had a couple more KO's, but a few of his opponents decided it was a better option to take the fight to the ground. Either way, there will be some fireworks in this one, warming up the canvas for the main event.
Dominick Cruz vs. Urijah Faber
The main event of the evening and the final contender for the fight of the night award. These are two fighters with very exciting, but have two very different styles. This could be a coin flip and a difference in opinion in who can assert their authority. If Dominick can, he will keep Urijah on the outside and continue to stay strong in the striking categories. In 9 fights he has attempted 1486 strikes and has amazing avoided getting his 80% of the time an opponent swings at him. Urijah on the other hand can execute his game plan by getting inside, getting the takedown, and applying his signature ground and pound to open up his submission game. He has 7 submission victories in 13 fights, one of them over Dominick himself. These submissions were set up by at least one of his 44 takedown attempts. This comes down to the over used saying of who can impose their will and game plan the best. Well, I added the game plan part.

Q and A With Dave Sixel, President of USA Pankration
Pankration is a sport that is often misunderstood because of its ancient heritage that is usually depicted through risqu photos and statues showing two naked fighters in somewhat compromising positions. The truth is that modern-day Pankration is composed of gi and no gi divisions with rules that model MMA type matches without the face contact. With the rise of MMA, there has been a rise in Pankration organizations trying to awaken the sport and bring it back to where it belongs to the Olympics. The leading organization; USA Federation of Pankration Athlima (USAFPA) is taking yet another step forward by not only sending their athetes to another World Championships hosted my FILA, but by being able to sponsor a portion of their journey of becoming a World Champion. MMAXtremeFantasy.com sat down with Dave Sixel, president of USAFPA and was able to ask a questions about Pankration, their athletes, and their upcoming events.
MMAXtremeFantasy.com:
First off explain a little about Pankration and the similarities and differences to MMA?
Dave Sixel:
Pankration is a Greek form of Mixed Martial Arts that was introduced into the Ancient Olympic games in 648BC, making it one of the first forms of MMA ever established. Modern Day Pankration rules are what you would consider a step below amateur level MMA rules. The rules are the same, except that there is no face contact, allowing competitors to almost ease into mixed martial arts competition. This also allows for competitors to compete at a younger age in a controlled mixed martial arts match. It's simply a safer way to compete and a great stepping stone into the MMA world. Not only do competitors get much needed experience in a competition setting, but there are many opportunities to compete for titles such as National and World Championships with the most prestigious of organizations.
MMAXtremeFantasy.com:
I've seen a lot of talk on online about Pankration, and the people that do know a little about it have this image that is perceived through certain statues and how competitions were held in the ancient times with the fighters being naked? Obviously that's not how competitions are held now, explain a little of what the competitors wear and the space the competitions are held in?
Dave Sixel:
I do hear that a lot, but competitions in modern day pankration are run as gi or no gi divisions. Pankration Gi's are traditional Greek style uniforms that are normally blue and white. Competitors in No Gi Divisions compete in fight shorts and a compression short is optional. The components of the fight and the match itself model MMA competition. The statues that people see which represents Pankration are from a different time periods where they tried depicting fighting in different ways other than just boxing.
MMAXtremFantasy.com:
Do you have a lot of MMA fighters compete in Pankration Competitions and visa versa?
Dave Sixel:
We do have a lot of fighters that compete in Pankration and MMA matches. Like I said before, they are essentially the same thing minus the face contact. People can train the same for both competitions. The only eligibility requirement for professional fighters to be on a US Pankration team is that a fighter cannot have more than 4 professional fights. We have entire MMA clubs compete in our Pankration tournaments to warm up for upcoming fights and we have Pankration fighters competing in as many tournaments as possible to gain that much needed experience to start their MMA Career.
MMAXtremeFantasy.com:
How is your organization different from any other Pankration Organization? How can you offer competitions such as the US team trials in Las Vegas on June 25th?
Dave Sixel:
First and foremost we are recognized by FILA. They are a member of the International Olympic committee and the driving force behind Wrestling in the Olympics. Being the only Pankration organization recognized by them in the United States is by far one of the biggest factors that sets us apart from the others. Our athletes have the biggest opportunities and are the closest in the Mixed Martial Arts world to be Olympic Champions. The National Governing Board of Association of Boxing Commisions, ABC, also recognizes us as the only regulated United States Pankration Organization. We are also a non profit organization, which means the USAFPA board of directors are basically volunteers that are involved because of their passion for the sport and competitors that compete in it. Competitions that are hosted by the USAFPA are not driven by greed or a quick buck, but put on for the athletes to represent the sport and possibly their country.
MMAXtremeFantasy.com:
Tell us a little more about the US team trials being held at Xtreme Couture's in Las Vegas?
Dave Sixel:
The 2011 United States Pankration National Championships and World Team Trails will determine the US National Team for the 2011 FILA World Championships of Pankration In Serbia at the end of September. It will be held at June 25th at Xtreme Coutures in Las Vegas. They have really been helping us out and been a great supporter. We will be hosting youth divisions for all skill levels as well as adult divisions. Competitors in the Mens divisions will competing for one of the 8 spots on the US Team, while women will be competing for one of 6 spots.
MMAXtremeFantasy.com:
Expand a little on what the winners of each adult division will receive in regards to the trip to Serbia and being a US team member?
Dave Sixel:
This will be the 5th FILA World Championships for Pankration and the 1st for Amateur MMA, also known as "FILA Combat Grappling". It will be hosted in Belgrade, Serbia September 30 to October 2, 2011. Last year over 40 nations were represented at the World Championships which featured Grappling and Pankration. The United States placed 1st in Grappling and 3rd in Pankration sending four athletes to the 2010 World Combat Games in China, an epic Olympic level event of 13 combative sports with participating athletes receiving an all expense paid trip to compete in Bejing. The US National Championships are open to all athletes regardless of style, school or affiliation. The competitor who wins his or her weight class at the World Team Trials will have first choice to be the US representative for the Worlds and the coach with the most winning athletes will be selected as the US National Team Coach.
MMAXtremeFantasy.com:
What are some upcoming things in the works for USAFPA, in regards to growth and taking that next step as an organization?
Dave Sixel
Obviously besides the National Team Trials coming up, we are working on spreading Pankration through the entire United States to provide more competition for competitors and give everyone the opportunity to represent their country. A way of doing this, especially as a non-profit organization is getting everyone involved to the lowest level. We are in the process of setting up Regional and State Directors, as well as school affiliates, and individual memberships. This type of organization will allow us to hold regional tournaments that can pay for the top competitors to attend Nationals as well as other benefits such as insurance, ranking systems, seminars, etc. For the last year, there has been an application form on our website at USAPankration.org for these different levels of membership and we have received a great response, but we are always looking to expand to provide our athletes with the most opportunities we can. We are growing at an exponential pace and it is an exciting time to be apart of Team USA Pankration.
MMAXtremeFantasy.com:
Whats a long-term goal for you organization?
Dave Sixel:
The long-term goal is definitely getting back into the Olympics. It would be a dream come true to see these athletes that work so hard to compete at the pinnacle of their sport. Being a non-profit organization, FILA is exploring entering either Mixed Martial Arts, Pankration or Grappling into the Olympic Games as an additional discipline of Wrestling and not a new sport. This is the fast track and only realistic way any of these sports can gain entry into the Olympics. Many European and Asian athletes benefit from state supported National Federations. USA Pankration is a IRS 501 c 3 non-profit Amateur Sports Organization with the sole goal of fostering National and International Competition for Pankration and MMA. These competitions will be the driving force to getting to our long-term goal.
MMAXtremeFantasyLeagues.com:
Is there anything you would to like to add or anybody you would like to thank?
Dave Sixel:
We would like to thanks Xtreme Couture's for everything they have provided as well as one of our major sponsors XtremeFantasyLeagues.com. These type of sponsors are allowing us to take this sport to another level. We welcome any sponsors interested in providing additional funds for athletes and aiding in their travel to the World Championships. All donations are tax deductible.

Does the Poker Site Shutdown Affect Fantasy Sports?
After the recent shut down of Poker sites in the U.S., many fantasy sports sites have been inundated with questions regarding the legality of fantasy sports within the United States. What comes as surprise to many people is that the answer is a resounding yes. Fantasy sports can be legally played online for money within the U.S. and there has been federal legislation specifically put in place allowing for fantasy sports to be played. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 which was designed to curb fraud and other issues with online gambling has a clause within the bill that states fantasy sports are not games of chance but games of skill, essentially eliminating any doubt about the legality of fantasy sports.
What consumers have to be cautious about is what types of fantasy games they play. Nearly all fantasy games out on the market today are legal but a few cross the line into gambling. The biggest difference between a legal fantasy game and an illegal one is how the teams are picked. True fantasy sports are solely based on statistics and not on the outcome of the game. This is outlined in the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Other games such as "Pick em" and "Pool" games shouldn't actually get advertised as Fantasy type games because the outcome of a game or competition has a direct impact on who wins. Even though these types of games are widely popular on and offline, they are illegal to play online in the United States because when it is broken down to its simplest form, people are betting money on a team's outcomes. This fact alone considers it gambling.
Granted that statistics are the largest element that makes fantasy sports unique from other forms of illegal gambling, there are still a few other rules that are outlined below that keeps fantasy sports legal.
Another issue that can quickly be forgotten about the poker site shut down was how they were hiding their profits and either coercing banks or tricking them into taking payments from them. If you have ever tried to buy chips at a poker site you saw just how hard it was. Since fantasy sports are legal they don't have to hide behind all the smoke and mirrors that poker did. The only concern for a fantasy sports player in this regards is that they need to claim any prizes on their taxes worth over $600. However, companies like XtremeFantasyLeagues.com already include a tax form with any prizes worth over $600, so there is no confusion when it comes to tax time.
Fantasy sports fans can rest easy knowing that the mainstream fantasy sites like XtremeFantasyLeagues.com and CBS are a great way to enhance your favorite sport and are completely legal.

- All winning outcomes reflect the relative knowledge and skill of the participants and are determined predominantly by accumulated statistical results of the performance of individuals (athletes in the case of sports events) in multiple real-world sporting or other events.
- No winning outcome is based solely on any single performance of an individual athlete in any single real-world sporting or other event.

Top 2012 NFL Rookies That Will Make the Quickest Fantasy Impact
As always the NFL draft has come and gone and now its time to see which rookies will have a significant impact on fantasy football this year. At first glance the group doesn't seem as promising as usual, but if you delve a little deeper into the teams you might be surprised about the potential of this years rookie class. We've picked the top 5 rookies and even thrown a couple of sleepers in for those of you that like to take chances in the later rounds.
Julio Jones, WR - Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons traded up for Jones and for good reason, he is going to be a key piece to what is already a potent offense in Atlanta. With opposing defenses having to worry about Roddy White, Tong Gonzalez and Micheal Turner you can expect some big games out of Jones. The Alabama star is 6'4" and 200lb plus, but still has the speed to make game changing plays down the field.Daniel Thomas, RB - Dolphins
The Dolphins have already made Thomas their starting running back for the 2011-2012 NFL season. With no other quality back on the team, you can expect him to pick up the majority of the carries. His running style fits perfectly with Miami's balanced offense, so you can expect to see some decent numbers out of Thomas. He did have nagging injuries in college but if can avoid the injury bug, you might be able to get yourself a number three back for a steal in the later rounds.
Austin Pettis, WR - Rams
Pettis was an integral part of those great Boise State teams over the past few years and should continue to be a difference maker in the very near future. The Rams were a much improved team last year without a true #1 wide receiver, so it makes sense that Pettis could develop into one of Bradford's favorite targets. Let's not forget that the Ram's play in the NFC West, which gives them 6 games against sub par teams. This fact alone potentially allows for some quality numbers throughout the season.
A.J. Green, WR - Bengals
Green is a tough pick here because no one is sure who is going to be throwing to him, with Carson Palmer more than likely done as a Bengal that leaves rookie QB Andy Dalton or Jordan Palmer. A.J. Green has the ability to be a big time receiver in the NFL but with two untested QB's throwing to him, it doesn't bode well for him. Though, if the Bengals can get any semblance of quarterback play this year, Green will be worth a good look.
Mark Ingram, RB - Saints
Ingram is another hard pick here because he will be in the mix with at least two other proven runners, Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory. He will need to show that he is substantially better than those two if he is going to get a significant amount of carries in New Orleans. On the plus side both the backs that are in front of him are very injury prone and could open the door for Ingram to be the number one guy on a proven high octane offense.
Sleepers
Shane Vereen, RB - Patriots
New England would only have one decent option at running back in Danny Woodhead if Green-Ellis leaves like expected. If Vereen's quickness and receiving skills are up to snuff, fantasy owners might see some significant numbers out of him. Then again there is always the chance the Patriots sign 3 veteran running backs and you don't see Vereen all season.
Delone Carter, RB - Colts
The Colts have decided to work on their running game this off season in order to protect Manning. Last year teams abandoned their running attack because it was simply nonexistent when they tried. By drafting an offensive line early and getting Carter in what some people consider a steal, could prove well for fantasy owners that are willing to take a chance on the rookie. With Addai looking to walk and Donald Brown not exactly putting up the numbers the Colts want, Carter is likely to see the bulk of the carries. However if Addai stays or Brown proves more consistent, he might be regulated to the 3 back, taking away any fantasy value he might have.
